About the Author:

Tina Stromsted, PhD, LMFT, BC-DMT, RSMT/E, SEP, is a Jungian training analyst and seminar leader at the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco, a dance/somatic psychotherapist, and founding director of the Soul’s Body® Center. Drawing on nearly five decades of clinical practice, she also co-founded the Authentic Movement Institute and authored Soul’s Body: Active Imagination, Authentic Movement, and Embodiment in Psychotherapy (Routledge).

 

Dr. Stromsted’s journey with Marion Woodman began as a student in the 1980s. At Woodman’s invitation, she later joined the core faculty during the founding of the Marion Woodman Foundation. Alongside Meg Wilbur and Dorothy Anderson, she co-trained a wave of emerging BodySoul Rhythms® leaders, helping to nurture Woodman’s living legacy through collaborative teaching at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Today, she teaches at the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco and serves on the core faculty of the Marion Woodman Foundation and the Jung Platform. She also teaches internationally and chairs the Active Imagination in Movement Pre-Congress Day workshops for the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP)—an initiative originally launched by Marion Woodman, Joan Chodorow, and colleagues in 2001, with whom she was honored to collaborate. Based in San Francisco, she maintains a private practice and provides international virtual consultation.
